Warriors of the Heart

Saturday, February 14th   9:45 am - 11:15 am

Howell Avenue Annex

Ancient seekers and great philosophers have explored the metaphor of mind as the worthy battlefield to release our chains of attachment, thus knowing true freedom. The Bhagavad Gita tells the tale of the great warrior, Arjuna and his search for the release of his own chains of attachment and fear-based afflictions. This led to his spiritual contract with the quintessential psychotherapist, Lord Krishna, who becomes Arjuna’s consul and wise guide. Krishna leads Arjuna on a path back to his spiritual center – the “cave of the heart,” where he can fulfill his divine mission with humility and grace.
The cave of the heart is spoken of as the spiritual center of our being. It is here that we can taste, dwell and direct our lives from a place of contentment and deep joy. The tale of the Bhagavad Gita gives a glimpse into the metaphor of facing our fears, gathering courage to seek right alignment and fully entering the heart. From here we can all find renewed strength, vigour, courage and determination to face life’s challenging moments.
Join KaliMa in a metaphoric journey exploring the tale of the Bhagavad Gita with moderate-vigorous level, joyful vinyasa, breath, mudras & loving awareness.

Paper, pencil and a box of crayons and markers will be provided for this fun, spiritual, yet physical, journey to learn the secrets of the Warriors of the Heart.
