Maria KaliMa, RN, MS, e-RYT 500, Functional Yoga Therapist , developer of Functional Yoga Therapy, is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Faculty for Integrative Yoga Therapy, a Certified Fitness Trainer, and a Registered Nurse with a background in Women's Health and Physical Rehabilitation. She leads Functional Yoga Therapy trainings in Tucson; at Kripalu in Lenox, MA. and at the Pura Vida location in Georgia. Maria teaches anatomy and physiology and anatomy of movement for yoga teacher training programs, as well as advanced therapeutic yoga concepts. She was intrumental in the creation of a yoga therapeutics department at Canyon Ranch. Maria teaches at several Tucson studios, has a private yoga therapy and ayurvedia practice. She is also an invited guest instructor for numerous yoga conferences and gatherings. Her hobbies are pottery, bike riding and knitting.
