Jenny & Mitch Druckman (Bisbee) Kirtan Chanting

Mitch and Jenny have been together since 1978. They met in Tucson through their search for truth, and were both initiated by Guru Maharaj Ji. This is how they learned about living life in devotion. Mitch and Jenny have been performing together and sharing their joy through music for years. They play many styles of music, from kirtan to acoustic folk to world beat and reggae. Both are also DJs. Mitch is a DJ at the Bisbee Community Radio Station KBRP. His programs, The Caribbean Connection and Native Drum, are ways of expressing his musical interests to a broader audience. Jenny, known as DJ Pants on Fy-Ah, hosts world beat dances at the Kilimanjahro Club. She is also a licensed clinical social worker.

Kirtan is part of the ancient practice of Bhakti yoga. Although it relates to the Hindu Dieties, it can be enjoyed by persons of all faiths. Mitch and Jenny lead Kirtan with harmonium and drums in a call and response singing meditation.
The Sanskrit syllables uplift the soul and the intention is to benefit all beings.
Kirtan produces healing through “Bhava”, the feeling of purity and devotion.
Through Kirtan one can experience pure awakened energy and stillness of the mind. The emotions can be channeled through Kirtan and transformed into a stream of calm clarity. This assists us in recognizing our divine nature and helps us to align with the One. Please join us in devotional chant.
