Touch the Sky, The Yoga of Kirtan  

Geoffrey Gordon was initiated into yoga practices 38 years ago. He completed yoga teacher training and became a Hatha Yoga teacher in 1972. Beginning in 1975 he studied tabla with Ustad Allarakha. He studied North Indian Classical music with Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. As well as being a professional musician playing on the Broadway stage, on numerous CDs, major movie soundtracks, and concerts worldwide, Geoffrey has worked extensively on CDs and tours with Jai Uttal, Ram Dass, Krishna Das, and Bhagavan Das. He is currently the resident musician and kirtan leader at Vibrant Living Yoga Teacher Training with Daniel Aaron in Ubud Bali.

Touch the Sky, The Yoga of Kirtan

We'll sing together to the the source of all existence. Breath, air, skin, and sky are aspects of our heart chakra, the lotus of compassion and understanding. The divine names/mantras which we sing have been chanted for thousands of years. We join all voices in the practice of Bhakti Yoga for illumination and pray for opening a deep love for all beings. We'll touch the sky and pray with the great masters through the ages for a future towards a compassionate and enlightened world.
