LifeForce Yoga Chakra Clearing Meditation

Sunday, February 17th   *  9:45- 11:15 am *

Club Kilimanjahro Studio

Breathe—yes; meditate--of course! But how, when you’re in the middle of a busy day or a stressful situation? Learn a meditation that tricks the mind into mindfulness even in the midst of chaos. This meditation incorporates ancient yogic strategies like mudra, mantra and pranayama breathing to give the busy mind a bone, reestablishing your equanimity and focus. The LifeForce Yoga Chakra Clearing Meditation is especially useful in clearing the mental chaos that often accompanies both anxiety and depression. The protocol can be practiced by itself or as a portal into an extended sitting practice. Either way, you’ll experience more somatic vitality and clarity of mind with this practice.

LifeForce Yoga to Manage Your Mood   ~ YOGA INTENSIVE

MONDAY, February 18th   (President's Day Holiday)

* 9:00 am - Noon and 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm *

 Club Kilimanjahro Studio

For thousands of years, yogis have understood what current research in neurobiology and clinical observations are demonstrating-that emotion particularly traumatizing emotion, is stored in the physical body. LifeForce Yoga interweaves the power of an ancient discipline with current scientific findings. You'll learn strategies that can help alleviate both depression and anxiety and methods to safely “free the tiger,” releasing chronically held tension and repressed emotion in the physical and emotional body.

We’ll practice:
Pranayama and kriya breathing techniques that regulate the emotions
Meditations that lift the mood
Creating Affirmation (sankalpa)
Guided Visualizations (bhavana)
Tones that regulate the emotions (mantras)
Yoga asanas suitable for multilevel practitioners
In dyads, a Yogic method of self-inquiry that dissolves the mask of avidya, revealing the richness of your true nature.

You’ll leave feeling refreshed, renewed, and excited about your home practice with new tools to work with your mood. Psychotherapists and yoga teachers will learn techniques they can use to help their clients focus, relax, and have greater access to their feelings
